St. George on the Road
2nd June 2019, 21:29
The Lancashire Automobile Classic Car Rally for St. George`s Day started at Blackburn Northern with just over 60 cars entered, from "frog-eye" Sprites and Austin 7s to Bentleys and Aston Martins.
The day started with over a hundred bacon butties superbly cooked and assembled by Aileen from Tennis, Carolyn and Beck Miller from Hockey and Aileen Dyson from the LAC........and a good laugh was had by all in the very busy, smoking kitchen.
The cars drove around Lancashire following their carefully constructed route maps, having lunch at Heskin Hall, Chorley and later driving around the country lanes of the Ribble Valley...... then back to our Clubhouse for a light buffet to complete the day and discuss the day's proceedings.
The Hockey section offered to do the job and we made around £400 for Club Funds.
Well done to everyone concerned for helping the day run "like a well-oiled machine"!
